Govt programmes for all Batswana

RAMOTSWA Some Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) officials have criticised opposition parties for failing to sell government programmes to the electorate despite the fact that they are there to improve the standard of living of the people They predicted that the opposition parties would never lead this country because they would bring down the countrys economy throught under performance.
Addressing a political rally in Ramotswa, they said opposition parties would never make a difference in peoples lives because their manifestos are radically different from the BDPs manifesto.
A council candidate for Ramotswa Central, Mr Bobby Gaseitsiwe said the way they do things at the BDP is different from the way the opposition parties do things.
He said their aim is to sell government programmes to the electorates so that they could benefit and improve their standard of living.
He accused the opposition parties for practising dirty politics and claiming that government programmes which are aimed at helping the people to survive the harsh realities of life and to ensure that the economy grows, are intended to buy the elections.
Mr Gaseitsiwe called on the electorate to ignore opposition parties, as they do not have the best interest of Batswana at heart.
He said the BDP is the only party that has a strong leadership that could add value to the peoples lives and ensure that the country experiences economic growth.
The South East South parliamentary candidate, Mr Odirile Motlhale called on the electorate to ignore the reports emanating from the opposition parties that the BDP oppresses people and that the party does not believe in democracy.
He said BCP is good in spreading all types of lies, as it wants people to believe that it is the main opposition party whereas it has only one Member of Parliament.
Mr Motlhale said at BDP there is proper consultation and enforcement of democratic processes and procedures as people vie for varying positions.
He said opposition parties would never lead this country because of their poor style of management and a lack of convivial working relations within the community.
Mr Motlhale advised electorate to register in large numbers and exercise their right thoose the candidates of their choice during the general elections advising them to opt for people with vision and who could be in a position to render selfless service to them.
